A photographer for your business portraits

Conférence Emergences avec Alexandre Jollien

Is using a holiday or family picture as your business profile picture really appropriate? Are your website pictures taken out of some public image library? Choosing a professional photographer will allow you to optimise the corporate use of your image.

There are currently a thousand of reasons to use a self-image. Social media, official documents, corporate communication… Therefore it is important to use quality pictures, which respond to specific characteristics, and allow most of the time to improve public perception and awareness, and highlight our own personality and professional expertise.

A professional photographer identifies your intention

Taking a photo just to take a photo does not make much sense when one is interested in its professional use. Hiring a professional photographer puts the shot into its perspective and will guarantee you the perfect match between the results and the objectives.

That is the reason why, when I am requested to shoot corporate portraits, I always start with a briefing session where I can understand the reasons behind the requested pictures and their ultimate goal or use.

A professional photographer captures the moment

There is nothing worst with corporate portraits that those photos where the subject looks so embarrassed that the result is just at the opposite to the expected objectives.

This is why I propose, as a professional photographer, to create portraits taken ‘on the spot’. The pictures are not posed photos, but photos captured spontaneously without the subject sometimes even realising. I go in each office several times to make sure I can get the most natural portrait.

A professional photographer creates emotion

The very best pictures are those for which the photographer has managed to capture the moment’s emotions.

It is also true for a corporate photo, being able to create a bond between my subject and myself, is always important and that will allow the person to feel comfortable and then visually express his or her deepest personality. The resulting picture will then take on its full meaning and will allow it to bring a message to its customers or prospects.

A professional photographer sublimates a corporate photo

And then comes the fateful question: what is more annoying than a corporate portrait? If you ask yourself this question, it means that you have probably never called upon a (good) professional photographer who allows you to enhance a cliché, thanks to its expertise, by giving it an extra dimension. By choosing a specific environment, or a specific light, I offer a particular relief to faces and attitudes, in order that they can both really express themselves.

A professional photographer prepares his model

A corporate portrait is certainly not a fashion picture. Nevertheless it must also comply with some aesthetic rules which will allow it to be used as a powerful communication tool.

Before taking my first picture, I always take the time to check the gesture in which my subject will feel the most comfortable. The aim is not to get the most beautiful picture but, with regards to corporate portraits, to get the picture in which the customer will be able to identify him or herself the most.

A professional photographer offers much more than a selfie

Today we all have smartphones with particularly impressive camera sensors. However, for all the reasons mentioned above, and also for all the other ones which we will discuss when we meet for the first time. (Barely) caricaturing, calling on a professional photographer avoids the umpteenth selfie on which we are not to our advantage.

Focalice organises photographic sessions and offers you tailored corporate portraits. It is possible to organise photoshooting in different places within your company or outside, to bring diversity and relevance to its final goal.
